The Salvation Army and KETV 7 Can Help Kids are teaming up to collect new school supplies.
Every year, the Back To School Backpack Program provides thousands of children with backpacks and school supplies at locations across the metro. This year's premier sponsor is Methodist Health System. Our additional location sponsor is Fun-Plex Waterpark & Rides. Additional sponsors are the Sweet 98.5, Pay-LESS Office Products, Barnhart Press and Firefighters on the Move.
The following new items are needed: backpacks, crayons, markers, rulers, glue, erasers, spiral notebooks, two-pocket folders, pencils, pens, theme paper, reusable water bottles, tissue, and bottles of hand sanitizer.
New school supplies are being collected now through August 5. They can be dropped off at The Salvation Army Lied Renaissance Center (3612 Cuming Street), any Methodist clinic or hospital location, nine Scooter's locations, and Fun-Plex Waterpark & Rides (70th & Q).
